Australia: Egg group accused of hatching market-manipulating scheme (Competition Policy International)

Consumer advocates have launched legal action against the Australian Egg Corporation for alleged market manipulation, according to reports.

The Corporation is charged with killing chickens and burying eggs to manipulate supplies of eggs and fix product prices, reports say. Plaintiffs suing the group include rival egg companies.
